13-Inch Macbook Pro to get Retina display?

CNET have reported that the 13′ Macbook pro will be getting the Retina display treatment and that production has already begun. The report is based on CNET’s talks with NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim. Here’s what he had to say;

Production has begun of a 2,560-by-1,600 pixel density display that will land on a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro, The supply chain indications are that it’s for a MacBook Pro 13.3 — not a MacBook Air, Displays are being made by Samsung, LGD, and Sharp

We didn’t see a lot of production on the 15-Inch Macbook Pro as clearly it is not in most peoples budget range but I’m sure the 13-Inch will get produced at a much higher quantity. According to Shim Apple are looking to produce around 2 million of these wonderful units. Since production has already begun here’s hoping there released in time for Santa coming.
