Acer Unveils Iconia Tab 7, A 7-Inch Tablet + Phone

Acer has just announced the Iconia Tab 7, a 7-inch tablet with phone functionality baked in. I know, wild right? Acer doesn’t think so, and will be rolling out the Iconia Tab 7 to Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and parts of Europe for an affordable €139. The Iconia Tab 7 packs 3G support, which isn’t surprising given the price point and intended markets.

As far as specs go, the Tab 7 rocks a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8382 processor with 1GB of RAM., dual cameras, 5.0mp main and a 0.3mp front facing, up to 6 hours of battery life and Android 4.4 KitKat. The Iconia Tab 7 comes with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, the Acer Iconia Tab 7 discretely tucks away a microSD card slot to provide us with additional capacity in the event we use up all of its internal one., and will come with two screen options; one with a 1280×800 resolution and one with a 1024 x 600 display. The specs are vague for now, but we can expect to see a full spec sheet from Acer soon.

Any takers, or is 7 inches of phone just too much for you? Talk about deep pockets.
