Amazon under investigation from EU for potential illegal tax deal

After targeting Apple it seems that the European Commission has another retail giant in it’s sights as they are set to investigate Amazon’s tax dealings. In a press release this morning the commission announced that it has opened an “in-depth investigation” into Amazon’s tax dealings in Luxembourg. It appears that since 2003 Amazon has recorded the majority of it’s regional profit in this tiny country, but those profits are not taxed there. So far Luxembourg have chosen not to fully comply with requests for further information but I’m sure they won’t be able to hide for long.
