ES Explorer has been to many users their primary file manager for a long time. There are other apps that have decent functionality and certainly some that are prettier.

When it come to Launchers it’s one of personal choice, the one you like best. But the same can’t really be said when it comes to File Managers, it comes down to ease of use, that, it Does-What-It-Says-On-The-Tin! But I’ve never found anything that lets me browse/stream network shares without jumping through hoops. ES works flawlessly in that regard.

They have worked for over a year on getting this right and I think they’ve just about made it.

ES File Explorer is a free, full-featured file and application manager.

It functions as all of these apps in one: file manager, application manager, task killer, cloud storage client (compatible with Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive,, Sugarsync, Yandex, Amazon S3, and Ubuntu One), FTP client, and Samba client.

It provides access to pictures, music, video, documents, and other files on both your Android devices and your computers.

ES File Explorer allows Android users, no matter where they are, to manage their resources for free.

You can see and access all of your files from your mobile device and share them with others.

The app makes it easy to stay connected over 3G, 4G, EDGE, or Wi-Fi to share with friends, upload photos, and watch videos.
