Apple announces the iPhone 5C – a polycarbonate unibody design with a 4-inch Retina display

So for the first time in history Apple has announced a second new iPhone model known as the iPhone 5C. The device will be available in 5 different colours and will infact be made of polycarbonate like the rumours suggested but Apple are making sure we know that even the polycarbonate body is made from one single piece. The whole front panel also features a full multi-touch surface. On the specs side of things you are looking at the same 4-inch Retina display that is featured on the iPhone 5 which we all know looks great. There is an A6 processor on board with LTE and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. On the rear you have an 8-megapixel camera with BSI, a hybrid IR filter and 5-element lens so that looks to be a decent camera and we cant wait to test it out. As stated above the 5C will come in a few different colour options, 5 to be exact and they are blue, white, pink, yellow and green. The pricing we have at the minute applies to the US but we will be sure to update you when the UK pricing drops. To give you an idea the 5C will set you back $99 on a two-year contract for the 16GB version, or $199 for the 32GB.

more to come stay tuned…….
