Apple looks set to reintroduce iPad 4 alongside an 8GB iPhone 5c

With the iPad 2 being discontinued it has left a gap for another iPad to take it’s spot as a low cost option and it looks like the iPad 4 will be it. That’s not the only introduction tho as Apple also look set to introduce an 8GB version of the colorful iPhone 5c.

The news arrives from the team over at 9to5Mac that shipments of the fourth-Gen iPad with Retina display will be arriving at retail stores as soon as today.

This shift was predicted by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who predicted the shift from the iPad 2 to the iPad 4 back in February, when he said Apple would hault iPad 2 production during the first quarter of 2014 and it would be replaced by the more powerful iPad 4.

Suggestions have also been made that Apples low cost iPhone 4S will be discontinued in favour of an 8GB iPhone 5c which will signal an end to the 30-pin adaptor era with the iPod Classic being the only device left with the port.

No pricing details have been released as yet but we expect an announcement to be made later today and will fill all the blanks in as soon as we know.
