Archos GamePad 2 now official

image

I’m sure you all seen the leaks last week and now its official Archos have unveiled the GamePad 2. Just like the original GamePad there’s a 7-Inch display but the resolution has been bumped up to 1280×800 pixels which is a nice addition.

That’s not all tho as the GamePad 2 is running Android 4.2 JellyBean and now features a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, which should improve gaming performance and the devices multitasking capabilities. On the storage side you have both 16GB and 32GB options to choose from but there is a microSD slot that supports up to 64GB cards. One awesome feature is the inclusion of Apps-to-SD so running put of space quick shouldn’t be a problem.

The GamePad 2 also features a new version of Archos’s Game Mapping Tool which allows gamers to map any area of the screen to one of the physical buttons. This will be handy as it will allow compatibility even with games that don’t support hardware controls.

Included with the GamePad 2 is some awesome games like Gameloft’s Asphalt 8: Airborne and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour and to make it even better there fully optimized  for use with the GamePad 2. Like the sound of the GamePad 2 then you will be able to pick one up at the end of the month for €179.99.
