Archos will release two Smartphones at CES 2014


Archos announced today that they will be releasing two new 4G/LTE capable smartphones at CES 2014 next week. These devices under the model name of Helium will mark Archos entry into the 4G/LTE market and consistent with their commitment to provide consumer-friendly technology, the devices will be unlocked, both devices will also be affordable, with a starting price under £200.00 Archos 45 Helium 4G.

Both devices will come equipped with a quad-core processor running at 1.4 GHz, 1GB of RAM, and support for microSD cards for external storage. The Archos 45 Helium 4G will come with a 4.5-inch 854×480 resolution screen and a 5MP and a VGA front facing camera. The Archos 50 Helium 4G is slightly larger with a 5.0-inch 1280×720 resolution screen and has a slightly better 8  MP and 2 MP front facing camera, along with a marginally larger battery at 2000mAh versus its sibling’s 1700mAh battery. Both devices will come loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
