BlackBerry apps for the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix

The New Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 W04 (9)

The BlackBerry-sponsored Mercedes AMG Petronas team will be hitting the pavement in Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday. I’ve been a big fan of F1 all my life  and it’s great that  BlackBerry is sponsoring a team,  so now I can get some of the action on my Q10, how could I avoid it?

Also, the Monaco Grand Prix will be the first time an F1 race is broadcast live on network TV  in the US (NBC).

I’ll be ready on Sunday just after midday at 12:30 GMT to take in all the action. I’ve only ever watched one live F1 race before but never at Monaco so I’ll sure it glued to the screen and Q10, ready to enjoy a great experience.

Planning a bit ahead, I’ve already loaded up my devices with F1 goodies.

First off, I obviously went for the F1 2013 Timing App CP.  This is free in the UK and suspect Europe to but, in the US I believe it costs around the $29.99. It gives real-time track positioning, live leader boards, live timing data and much more. The paid app is not available in the UK

F1 Connect 2013 is also a great app for keeping up on the latest F1 news. It packs a lot of info in a small package and for just £0.75 it’s a great buy.

Also if you’re a Twitter user, you can also follow both @BlackBerry and @MercedesAMGF1 for updates all weekend long.
