Q File Explorer is a very nice tool to browse files and folders of your Blackberry@ Device (Q10, Z10 and Playbook). It is very fast, very simple and easy to use, so you may use it without any help. Pushpendra Kumar the developer has put a lot of work into Q File Explorer and it shows.

  • Browse folders and files.
  • View the no. of folders and files i0nside any folder.
  • View size of any file next to its name
  • Cut/paste multiple files to other folder
  • Copy/paste multiple files to other folder
  • Delete multiple files
  • Create folder
  • Shortcut of Home, Document, Downloads, Music and videos

To use shortcut, tap on Menu icon (on right bottom of screen)  and you may see the full Menu on right side. these shortcut should be available on menu.

Moving File/ Files:
To move a file or files, first tap on “Select” Icon, which will enable the Cut, Copy, Delete Icons for actions. Now select file or files and tap on “Cut”, now you may see the “Cut” icon becomes “Paste”. Browse the directory where you want to move and open that folder and now tap “Paste”. and you are done. Note: it may take time to move your files and until Q File Explorer may not response.

Copying File/Files:
This method is similar to moving file/files, only thing you have to tap “Copy” action after selecting files.

Deleting File/Files:
Select the file or files and then tap on menu “:”, it will open Menu on your right side of screen. now tap on “Delete” and selected file/files will get deleted.

Creating a New Folder:
To create a new folder, tap menu, it will open Menu on your right side of screen, now tap on “New Folder”, this action will open a dialog box, fill the Name of folder and click OK button and Folder with that name will get created in your current directory.


This is a great little File Explorer. Works great on my Q10. But I would like to be able to see images when I open the picture folder instead of default image. Click the BB world logo below to view App.
