The Huawei Ascend P6 launch yesterday in London (check out our videos) was a great launch for the Huawei. They said the price for it would be an RRP of €449, now this equates to £385 but Carphone Warehouse have the device up for pre-order and have undercut this by quite a margin.

Carphone Warehouse CEO Sir Charles Dunstone appeared at the event, but didn’t discuss any pricing or availability, but the high street retailer is now taking pre-orders. A SIM-free Ascend P6 will cost £329.95, and will be available on contract for free on deals starting at £21 a month.

Expected delivery is currently July 4, and if you’re wanting the pink one you see here, at least for now, you’re out of luck. Carphone Warehouse is only currently taking pre-orders on the black and white varieties. For the price, you’re getting an awful lot of smartphone. A quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 720p 4.7-inch display, a ridiculously thin 6.18mm phone with a 2000mAh battery squeezed inside running Android 4.2.2.
