Cortana is Coming to Android and iOS

Today Microsoft officially confirmed that Cortana, its Google Now/Siri competitor, is coming to both Android and iOS this year. The personal digital assistant will be released as separate apps for each operating system and according to Microsoft will “Work as a companion to Cortana on your Windows 10 PC”. Microsoft expects people to use the Cortana app alongside other of its services like OneDrive and the Xbox Music app for viewing all your pictures and listening to your music in a cross-platform experience. The app will have the same functionalities like notification support for sport results, calendar events, and flights and the same search queries as the app on Windows Phone but it will lack a few features due to full integration with the Windows Phone OS. The app will be available in late June for Android and later this year for iOS.
