Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch to receive a complete redesign, looks like March event

Last month Bloomberg reported that Samsung’s second edition of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be greatly improved compared to the first, especially in terms of design, this morning Korean media is confirming Bloomberg’s story.

According to the reports, Samsung has  been busy redrawing all the parts in the watch that look traditional and boring, one being a thinner Galaxy Gear 2 with flexible OLED display. Besides the exterior renovation we will hopefully see improved software and pairing, as well as better battery life, too.

The new Galaxy Gear smart watch is expected to be unveiled in March with April availability, says the publication, which might mean it will be announced together with the Galaxy S5 flagship. Rumor is that it will also sport health monitoring functions.

We wait for the official announcement, and as soon as we get confirmation we’ll let you know.
