iPhone vs Galaxy s3

Samsung Galaxy S III Sales Top 10 Million 02:18 -Thursday 25th July 2012

The company announced that it has sold more than 10 million devices within two months after launch, translating into about 190,000 phones sold per day. Since the iPhone 5 is not expected to arrive until September or October, Samsung should have another few months of decent sales.

According to a report published by Yonhap News Agency, the phone could hit total shipments of 40 million units, which would not only be a record for Samsung, but would turn the Galaxy S III into the most successful Android phone so far.

Of course, the S III trails Apple’ iPhone. The company said that it sold 35.1 million iPhones in the first quarter of this year, even if there was no information on how many of those phones were 3GS, 4 and 4S models. Analysts, however, generally believe that more than 90 percent of sales are 4S models, translating into about 31.5 milllion 4S models for the 3-month period.
