Google extending Material design to Chrome OS Desktop Webcam App Icon

chrome-camera-app-iconGoogle Chrome OS ‘Camera’ app will shortly receive a ‘material icon’ Designed by Sebastien Gabriel, who has overseen many of Chrome’s design changes has taken the simple blue circle with a white camera emblem will replace the current design.

Not a huge change, I know but, it does help bring Google’s “Photo Booth” app into the consistency with the File manager, Gallery and Video and Audio players, all of which have been given the material design makeover during the past 12 months.

Installed in Chrome OS by default, the Camera app is available to install from the Chrome Web Store on regular desktops, too. Providing you have a webcam that works but, Chrome should be able to find it. Hit the icon below for the Chrome app.
