Google Play Movies and TV finally arrives on iOS

Today is the day that I personally have been looking forward to for some time now. Google Play Movies and TV have finally arrived on iOS giving users access to yet another awesome media streaming app.

Google Play Movies and TV for iOS acts much the same as Google Play Music in that you can’t purchase content directly from the app. Users who want to use the app will have to buy directly from Google Play website or via an Android device. For someone like me who utilises this service and ventures across the platforms this is just perfect as no matter what device I’m carrying I will have access to the media I have purchased.

For now Google is also restricting streaming to WiFi connection’s only but that is easily overcome If you are Jailbroken, but be sure you don’t use all your data allowance up.

So just in case you are wondering you will also be able use the app in conjunction with Chromecast and beam the movie and shows straight to your television from your iPhone or iPad. Utilising the Chromecast is also a great idea as it will bump the definition up to HD as viewing on your iPhone or iPad is standard definition at present.

You can pick the app up now from here for free.

BeginnersTech was an idea I had one Sunday when I was bored. It is now not only a website but a successful YouTube channel that takes me all over the world. Don’t ever let anyone discourage you. Chase those dreams.
