Travelling around the UK as I do, connecting to the internet is one of my priorities. Train Wi-Fi is expensive if you go over your free period, and not everyone has Tethering activated on their phone. I’m lucky in both respects that I have my Nexus 7 with 3G and tethering through my Blackberry Q10. But I wanted to let you know how to connect the ZTE MF 112 dongle to your laptop. So let’s get started:

Installing on Windows:

Windows Xp/Vista/7/8.

To install your dongle on a Windows computer or laptop:

  1. Plug your dongle into one of your computer’s USB slots
  2. A screen should pop up automatically to start the installation. If it doesn’t, click the Start button at the bottom left hand corner of your screen, click on My Computer and then double-click on the 3 icon
  3. A License Agreement will appear. Accept the terms of the agreement and click Next and follow the instructions.
  4. Once installed the 3Connect connection manager will launch. If it doesn’t, double click on the 3Connect icon on your desktop.
