The Pushbullet team has given us yet another amazing app, Portal—the app that allows you to transfer files for your computer to your phone with a simple scan of a QR code.

Getting pictures, videos, and other files from your computer onto your phone should be quick and painless. Portal helps by making it as easy as drag and drop.

Gone are the days of  searching and untangling USB cables just to transfer some family vacation photos over to your phone. With Portal, a simple scan of a QR code is all it takes.Just pick up your phone, point and shoot and boom! You can start moving all sorts of files, photos, videos, etc. And the best part of using this app, all transfers happen over WiFi so no need to worry about your data!

Features:

  • Transfer individual files, multiple files, or entire folders at once
  • Easily browse, open, or share the files you’ve put on your phone
  • Pictures transferred with Portal are automatically put into your phone’s Gallery
  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later: have Portal save files to your removable SD card!

That’s all there is to it, a stinking QR code. God, I love the future.
