HP unveil the SlateBook, a 14″ Android powered laptop

We have all seen HP’s Windows and Chrome OS laptops and now HP have branched out to Android laptops. HP have today unveiled the SlateBook, a 14-inch Android-powered laptop that happened to leak just over a month ago.

The SlateBook may not be the first Android laptop to show up but it’s certainly the largest of this group. The specs are pretty impressive with the SlateBook housing an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 64GB of storage, 2GB RAM and a reported 9 hours of battery life. The screen is a 1080p touch-screen, giving the user the option to use this instead of the keyboard and trackpad.

The SlateBook is set to arrive in August priced at $399 (¬£237) making it a very tempting purchase. At 16mm thin the SlateBook is thinner than the original Apple MacBook Air so we can’t wait to give it a test.
