HTC hits Twitter to tease us about a new curvy device

HTC_CurveA tweet from HTC’s official Twitter account suggests the company has a interesting new product to show us, but isn’t quite ready to reveal all just yet. The tweet reads “More beautiful curves coming soon,” and is accompanied by an image with a quote from English novelist Edward George Bulwer-Lytton. “In life, as in art, the beautiful moves in curves.”

Well, if there’s one thing to take away from HTC’s message, it is the device it has to show is curvy. The new HTC One M8 and the One Mini 2 are quite curvy, but it’s not the overriding theme of the design, so this is shaping up to be something brand new from HTC. A new tablet, Nexus 8 comes to mind, or an Android Wear smartwatch? HTC has been rumored to be working on both.

There is another possibility. We’ve been hearing more about an HTC One M8 Prime recently, a device which may challenge the LG G3, and the equally unofficial Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime.

HTC replied to several messages after posting the picture, saying it’s “always innovating,” and that it can’t wait to show us the new product. It didn’t give anything away, but added that it would reveal more soon. It’s a mystery at the moment, and a very intriguing one. It’s also a departure from HTC’s usual way of marketing new products. We wonder if it has something to do with Paul Golden, the former marketing guru responsible in part for Samsung’s successful Galaxy campaign now, reporting to HTC’s Chairman Cher Wang, according to Bloomberg
