HTC One starting to receive Android 4.4.2 in the EU

Back in December HTC UK announced that the update for the HTC One would start at the end of January. It seems they are holding to their word as reports are coming in that some EU owners are seeing the update available to them in a 308.24Mb update.

This brings the software version to 4.19.401.8, which as well as the usual security fixes includes additional Bluetooth Profiles to support more devices and Cloud Printing support although it kills Flash support on the stock browser (Flash hasn’t been officially supported on Android since 2012).

Other minor updates are to Sense 5.5 such as the KitKat battery icon style.

If you’re not already seeing the update keep checking as it’s an incremental roll-out and should be coming soon to an unbranded device near you.

Just remember, if you’re carrier locked you won’t see this until your respective operator makes their own modifications and gives the nod to HTC to push out.
