The new HTC One is what most would interpret as do or die for HTC so they had to pull out all the stops on this one and they sure did. The HTC One has an aluminium uni-body design and is running Android 4.1.2. The screen you see is a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 screen with a Gorilla glass display. The handset is powered by Qualcomms’s 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and has 2GB of RAM. Weight seems to be on everyone’s mind when purchasing a new smart-phone and the HTC One weighs only 143 grams. The dimensions are  5.4″ x 2.7 ” x 0.37″. Other features include a 2,300 mAh battery, NFC, support for WiFi a/ac/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. Storage options are 32GB or 64GB of internal storage but sadly no micro-SD slot.

HTC has packed as many features into this device as they could starting with dual stereo speakers on the front. It also has a 2.1 Megapixel front facing camera and an IR blaster built into the power button. The rear of the phone is where it gets tasty. The new “Ultrapixel” camera that is designed to allow each pixel to gather 300% more light than the current generation camera takes its pride of place. HTC have put a 4 Megapixel BSI sensor and f/2.0 lens into the HTC One as well. The new camera also features optical image stabilization and HDR, 1080P, 60fps video. I don’t know about you guys but we cant wait to shoot a few pictures with this.

The device will be running the newly designed Sense 5. EE have given us some prices for the new HTC One and said expect it to be ready “mid-March”. The price plans will start at £70 handset cost on a two year contract for £41/month for 1GB of data plan. Other carriers are yet to come forward but stay tuned as we will keep you up-to-date as they release pricing.
