HTC One X owners get a DIY battery Fix

Well if your an HTC One X owner one thing you will notice other than the several other bugs is that the battery life is terrible. Thanks to XDA member mike1986 he has managed to find a problem in HTC’s Tegra 3 power reserves so he has released an unofficial patch to sort it.

The worst thing about all this is that it seems to be a BOOB on HTC’s part as they have put the¬†NvCPLSvc.apk in the /system/bin folder, when it should have been in the system/app folder DOH.After applying to my HOX i noticed about a 15% gain in battery life which is great (Really the battery is that bad).

So theres obviously a BUT here and its pretty big you will have to Root your device. Sounds easy eh? NOPE rooting the One X is proving to be a major problem for many users over at XDA bricking there device so i suggest unless you no what your doing don’t do it. Well at least rooted One X users can fix one of the bugs on there device now just for all the rest.
