Huawei Ascend P6 Google Edition Coming

Well it had to happen, Huawei who are making good inroads into the mobile phone market, have told Pocket-lint that the company is collaborating with Google to create a Google Edition of the company’s new P6 smartphone that will run stock Android.

“We are working with Google to analyse the possibility of bringing out a Huawei Ascend P6 with Google Edition,”

Kevin Ho president of the handset product division at Huawei  told Pocket-lint in a one-to-one briefing.

Although Huawei chairman  Richard Yu said at the London launch of the P6 Huawei’s Emotion UI was better, with “hundreds of improvements” over the Google Android experience. He concluded that its user interface would be better in touch with a user’s “emotions”.

So with the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One “Google Editions” it looks like Google are asking more manufacturers to make them.

Although Richard Yu comments don’t tie in with what Kevin Ho, this could have been a ruse by Richard Yu to deflect any rumours but, now of course these have been blown out-of-the-water.
