iFixit gives the Nexus 6 a teardown

image

It hasn’t taken long for the iFixit team to get torn into Google’s latest Nexus 6. With a high end build quality and high end specifications how easy did the iFixit team find the teardown? Let’s see.

The Nexus 6 has been awarded 7 out of 10 on iFixit’s repairability scale putting it in the same class as Apple’s latest iPhone 6 Plus. The teardown involved loads of screws but thankfully no adhesive to be found meaning it wouldn’t be to hard for daredevil DIYers to get into it. The team also found that the battery can be replaced albeit with a little bit of difficulty. You will also want to be careful not to smash that beautiful screen as the digitizer is fused to the display meaning it won’t be a cheap repair.
