iGrann – At Last, Native Instagram client coming soon to BlackBerry 10

We have all been waiting patiently, I might add, for Instagram to give us a native client on Blackberry 10 devices, so we can eliminate side-loading the Android ports. But, we can’t see that happening anytime soon.. Yesterday however  Gaspertrix posted a post on the CrackBerry forums, stating that he is working on a native Instagram client for the BlackBerry 10 platform called iGrann. One great thing we have noticed is that there will be a Q version released, due to the smaller screen size this will help for the lack of functionality due to screen size using the Android ports available right now.

Here is what Gaspertrix had to say:

Well, I was going to post this the opening day of the BB Jam Asia, but I had an exam.
The first full native and free Instagram client for BlackBerry 10 is here.
It is not just an Instagram viewer, it is a full featured app.

What you can do with this app:

  • Register
  • Login
  • Recover Password
  • Edit Profile Information
  • Browse Feed
  • Browse Photos
  • Explore Popular
  • Search Users
  • Search Hashtags
  • View News
  • Upload Photos
  • Comment
  • Like / Unlike
  • Follow / Unfollow
  • Browse Profiles
  • Share

What you can not do with this app:

  • Apply filters to photos (planned)
  • Browse Videos (planned)
  • Upload Videos (planned)
  • Receive push notifications
I am still finishing the design of some pages and will upload photos when they are finished.
I am testing the app using the simulator because I do not have a BB phone. When I get one to test, will upload a video.
In Login screen, last logged in user is saved, and when you touch on avatar, username is auto-filled and password is focussed for fast login.
I am open to opinions and suggestions.
