iOS 8.1 Jailbreak For iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 And All Other Devices Released

Team Pangu has just dropped an iOS 8 – 8.1 jailbreak that works on even the latest iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2, along with all previous devices. It’s not all good news tho as at the minute the jailbreak is currently limited to SSH only, and has no Cydia installed.

If you are not an experienced jailbreaker or you are jailbroken at the minute we suggest staying put until Saurik gets Cydia updted for iOS 8. We have attached a list below with compatible firmwares and devices.

iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 Jailbreak Supported firmware:

iOS 8.0, 8.0.1, 8.0.2, 8.1

iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 Jailbreak Supported devices:

iPhone 6
IPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 5s
iPhone 5c
iPhone 5
iPhone 4s
iPad (2, 3, 4, Air, Air 2, mini 1, mini 2, mini 3)
iPod touch 5

You can download the jailbreak from but as we said it would be best to hold off as saurik has made a thread on Reddit saying:

windknown has contacted me, about a half hour ago, via e-mail. He has told me one of the issues that is keeping Substrate from working on the device, which will probably require me to build a little binary patch for dyld as part of the Substrate installation sequence. This was the worst possible day for me, as I’m traveling back to Santa Barbara today (I’m currently in Texas, having come here to give a talk at The Big Android BBQ), which means this will take me a little longer than I’d like, but clearly getting Cydia and Substrate working on iOS 8 is my highest priority. I thankfully think that I actually can start working a little on one of the Substrate issues using an iOS 7 “model” based on the information provided by windknown, which means I’ll lose less time to not having all of my devices with me. (I currently have no clue why Cydia itself is not functioning, but will find out later today when I can see it myself.)

We will update you again when there is a fully functioning jailbreak but it seems very positive at the minute.
