DigiTimes is reporting that the next-generation iphone components are due to begin shipping at the end of May. Their is also reports that the new smart phone could show up in the third quarter, this ties in with other reports that the iPhone 5s will be released in June or July. Here’s what they had to say:
Components for the next-generation iPhone will start shipping at the end of May with the new smartphone to have a chance of showing up in the third quarter, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
The new iPhone will not receive a major upgrade and may just be a slightly enhanced version of iPhone 5 (iPhone 5S), the sources said citing their latest specification data.
DigiTimes sources claim that the iPhone 5s will have a better processor and camera. Everyday we are seeing more reports that say Foxconn is currently preparing to produce the iPhone 5s and that it may also feature a fingerprint sensor. We will save judgment until we see more information.
