How to jailbreak iOS 7 untethered with Evasi0n 7 on Windows and Mac

We have been receiving a few emails lately asking for a tutorial on jailbreaking iOS 7 so here it is. This jailbreak comes from Team Evad3rs and will jailbreak the list of devices below running iOS 7 – 7.0.4.

The jailbreak is available for both Windows and Mac users and the process is just the same on both platforms. This is an untethered jailbreak meaning you can use your phone as normal without having to re-jailbreak on reboot. Please make sure to follow all the steps and be patient to ensure you have no problems. As always we take no responsibility if you mess up your device following this tutorial.

Compatible Devices:

  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone 5c
  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPhone 4
  • iPad 2
  • iPad 3
  • iPad 4
  • iPad Air
  • iPad mini
  • iPad mini 2
  • iPod touch 5

To jailbreak iOS 7 just follow these steps and be sure not to miss any out.

Step 1: Download evasi0n7 jailbreak tool for Windows or Mac. Click Here

Step 2: Backup your device before you even think about doing anything.

Step 3: If your last update was done via OTA (ON YOUR PHONE) then restore your device in iTunes to avoid any problems.

Step 4: Connect your iPhone with computer, and launch evasi0n7 Jailbreak tool.

Step 5: Remove any passcode you have on your device to ensure there are no problems during jailbreak.

Step 6: Open up EvasiOn by clicking on the icon. If on Windows right click and open as Admin.

Step 7: The tool should recognise your device and tell you “your device is compatible hit jailbreak to continue”

Step 8: Hit jailbreak and follow the on screen prompts

Thats it very straight forward process, your device will reboot a few times and you will be prompted to unlock your device and click the evasiOn icon. When the process is complete you will be jailbroken with the Cydia icon on your device so go install all those awesome tweaks and themes.

We are going to be doing a load of tutorial videos and videos showing off all the best Cydia tweaks so stay tuned.
