LG announced today the newest member of the G4 family, the G4 Beat. Internally, the new device has midrange specs, but externally, the phone look the same as the more powerful G4, which is LG’s current flagship.
The specs of the device are a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and 1.5GB of RAM. A 2,300mAh battery will provide juice to the Beat. It will be capable of 4G LTE connectivity and will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The main camera will be 8-megapixels in the US, but in Latin America, LG will ship the G4 Beat with a 13-megapixel camera instead.
The G4 Beat measures 142.7mm by 72.6mm, it is 9.85mm thick and weighs 139 grams. Color options are the same as the original G4, including metallic silver, ceramic white, and shiny gold.
The G4 Beat will come first to Europe and Latin America later this month before rolling out globally throughout the rest of the year. Price hasn’t been announced yet, so we’ll probably have to wait for the G4 Beat to go on sale to find out.
