On the run up to the festive season we are approached by many companies asking us to review their products. This last few weeks has seen many Bluetooth speakers arrive in the office and today we are going to look at one from the budget end of the scale made by a company called Lumsing.

At the cost of ¬£30.99 I must say I wasn’t expecting anything special from the unit but was pleasantly surprised at the solid build quality of the Lumsing Bluetooth speaker. The speaker offers many ways to play your music, other than the obvious Bluetooth option you can connect your device via NFC or using the included auxiliary cable, if thats not enough Lumsing allows playback via the included TF card slot. As you can see from the image below you can also take or dismiss calls on the speaker as well as it has a built in microphone positioned behind the speaker grill. I tested this out a few times and the result was not to bad, the caller said that I sounded clear but did note that it wasn’t as clear as on my One Plus One but I suppose that should be expected.

As you can see from our full review on our YouTube channel I was more than impressed with the sound this budget unit produces. Listening to music was an absolute pleasure with the sound produced being crisp even at high levels and I was even surprised buy the bass this small unit produced. The only drawback is the terrible voice prompts, the lady’s voice can become very annoying after a while but it’s a small sacrifice considering how good this unit is. Another positive about this unit is the battery life, with a 2500mAh battery and a claimed 25 hours of playback you can enjoy music without the hassle of constantly charging this device. Obviously I didn’t listen to music for a full 25 hours solid but after 3 days of listening to music for a few hours each day the unit still didn’t require a charge.

Overall

I was very impressed with the Lumsing Bluetooth Speaker considering it’s price, it’s hard not to sound like I’m selling this myself but for the price I would honestly say if your in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker then don’t overlook this. It comes in many different colour options so you are sure to find one that fits your lifestyle. We have many more Bluetooth speaker reviews on the site as well as more in the works over the next week so be sure to check them out. If you have any questions be sure to leave a comment below.
