Mega Cloud Storage Now Out of Beta With New UI

I have been with Mega for a few months now and have found the service to be very secure. Given that it was the brainchild of Kim Dotcom although he is not involved with the company now, the service is excellent. Now it is out of beta and really looking good with a spruced up UI.

Mega is based in New Zealand, and as plans to add an encrypted SMS and video/audio all of which will be secure but they are not expected till 2014. These are “A work in progress” and will allow users to have avatars for your contacts list. Mega also has a Firefox extension, which is meant to help with load times and security.

There’s an Android client, and Mega announced that the desktop client is working well, as I can confirm, and a iOS app will be  launching later this month.
