Microsoft OneDrive Android App Updates with new Camera Roll Backup Feature

onedrive-on-android_cameraroll-mediumAlong with the announcement about new OneDrive branding going live, Microsoft also released an updated OneDrive app for Android devices.

Put simply, Microsoft will maintain the 7 Gbytes of free storage that it offers users who sign up for the service. But now there are ways of obtaining more, and Microsoft will hand out an additional 100GB of free storage to each user, up to 100,000 users via an online contest on Wednesday (today) afternoon.

This new update brings the much awaited automatic camera backup feature to Android devices. Also there is an improved Office Mobile integration for Office 365 customers. What’s new on Android 4.0+:  Automatically upload photos and videos to OneDrive using Camera backup  Improved support for working with Office Mobile for Android and OneNote, including editing Office documents.
