Microsoft release new Lumia Camera Beta update brings Office Lens for some Lumia devices

lumia-camera-beta-tileAlthough Microsoft recently launched a new Lumia Camera Beta app. It’s only available to a select number of Lumia Windows Phone running  8.1 The app received an updated today with the new version giving you access to the Office Lens app in the settings menu.
What’s new in Lumia Camera 5:
– Faster startup, mode switching and shot-to-shot
– Moment capture
– Rich capture
– The latest imaging algorithms for better image quality
– Higher video resolutions (4K, 1440p) on Lumia 930, 1520 and Icon
– Improved design with faster access to the front facing camera, Lumia Selfie, Lumia Refocus and third party lenses
– More manual controls for video capture. Settings like exposure and manual focus can now also be used during video capture

The Lumia devices that can download and use the Lumia Camera Beta are, Lumia Icon, Lumia 930, Lumia 1520, Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL.

Office Lens is an app that, among other things, allows users to save photos of whiteboards and docs to OneNote. Allowing the Lumia Camera Beta to access Office Lens should be a big help for business users. UK link below, for USA just change the GB to US in the link.
