Following the announcement of Hotmail accounts upgrading to Outlook, the Microsoft is announcing plans to expand international domain support for Outlook.com. Over the coming days Outlook.com will be updated to include support for 32 additional international domains, allowing users to select a mail address in their preferred region. A number of European countries will get localized Outlook domains, but notably the UK is missing.

Along with the domain support, Microsoft will also let users sign into Outlook.com accounts using an existing alias. Users have had to rename accounts previously to sign into accounts with an alias, but the new support removes that restriction. Microsoft says both enhancements will be available “in the next few days” alongside the two-factor authentication support.
