Motorola’s Moto G is the first Android device to receive Lollipop update


At present Android users are eagerly awaiting the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates to arrive on their devices with only Google’s latest Nexus devices running it up until now. Well that has all changed as Motorola has pushed the Lollipop OTA update to the unlocked second generation Moto G making users the first to experience the new version of Android.

The news arrives from the team over at Ars Technica who report that Motorola’s mid-range smartphone is the first device to receive the update in the form of a 386MB download.

This may be a sore one for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 users as they are usually among the first to get a taste of the latest software updates.

Fear not tho as the Android 5.0 update should arrive on other Nexus and Motorola devices as well as the LG G3 this week at some point following the fix of the battery bug in the first version.
