Netflix says goodbye to Silverlight, embraces HTML5

Netflix has announced that support for Microsoft’s Silverlight will end. And that it will be moving lock, stock and barrel over to HTML5.
Last month Netflix became available in HTML5 on Google’s Chromebooks. Now however Netflix plan to roll-out to everyone.

They are currently working on three HTML5 video extensions, once they have completed that they will be rolling out the update. Two of the updates have been used on Chromebooks.
