Nexus 5 finally official available November 1st

Today is the day that all the rumours and speculation that have clogged up Google Plus end. Google have finally announced the LG-made Google Nexus 5 and you can get your hands on one tommorow, I know I will.

So here’s a brief introduction to the Nexus 5, you are looking at a 5-inch 1080p display with that new 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that we all love as it has super powers. The Nexus 5 will also boast 2GB of RAM and come with 16 or 32GB of storage. What’s more is the Nexus 5 now comes with an optical image stabalization 8MP camera  which should work out great for those who have a shakey hand. In terms of battery you will have a 2300mAh battery and of course wireless charging capabilities as standard.

In the UK the Nexus 5 will support both 3G and LTE and prices start at £295 for the 16GB model and £339 for the 32GB. It will come in both black and white colour options. You can buy the Nexus 5 direct from Google or alternatively Carphone Warehouse have announced availability and the first 1000 people to pick one up on any LTE contract can claim a free Nexus 7 2012. Carphone’s prices start at £32/month on 3G and £37/month on LTE using O2.

As you probably know the Nexus 5 is the first device to run Android 4.4 KitKat but rather than give you a press review I will be learning all about it as of tommorow morning and will report back on what I think. The CPW press release is below.
