More Nexus 5 Images Leak, Show Us Rumored Features and App Updates

Nexus 5 image leaks

The Nexus 5 should be announced any day now. Rumors put the announcement date at October 15th, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. There’s been no shortage of Nexus 5 leaks, though. Yesterday we showed you a 7 minute video running the N5 through it’s paces. We are also getting a good look at what could be the new Android 4.4 KitKat interface thanks to Italian site Tutto Android.

Tutto Android leaked some images that they claim come straight from the Nexus 5. There are shots of the home screen, lock screen, and some of the apps. There are also images of some updated Settings menus that show us some new features that could be coming. Tap to Pay, transparent status, and navigation bar settings are some of the expected features that we are getting excited about.

The person who leaked the images said that the Nexus 5 is really fast and smooth. This is to be expected, as it will be powered  by a top of the line Snapdragon 800 chip. The leaker also said that KikKat is a “lighter” version of Android and that this seemed to help increase performance. There are dual speakers in the bottom of the Nexus 5, and the camera is said to be much-improved, with excellent image stabilization.

You can check out the rest of the leaked images below. The Nexus 5 is shaping up to be a great phone and a worthy update from last year’s Nexus 4. We hope to hear something official soon.
