The Lumia Denim update in the UK is still slowly rolling out. And O2’s Social Media team are saying the Denim update is currently in testing at O2 UK for a number, but not all Lumia handsets, and they have not given out which ones will get the Denim update.
When we receive updates from vendors we test it to ensure it behaves on our network (sometimes small changes are needed to ensure a phone works fully as intended on a network – ours, or any other network) and to look out for any bugs or issues that we need to report back to the vendor… We wouldn’t knowingly release any updates that we felt did not deliver a positive customer experience.
Naturally this process does usually take a few days, up to a week or two usually.
The update will be pushed out to handsets before the end of the month.
The highlighted line is interesting “Naturally this process does usually take a few days, up to a week or two usually.” If you ‘said’ that quote then it’s not sound too bad but, to write it down sounds as though you’re not sure of anything.
So why is it, buying a phone open to any network, throwing a O2 or any other sim in it does not make the device erratic in its day-to-day working.
