If you are not happy with CM on your OnePlus One or the vast number of custom ROMs available then OnePlus is about to give you another option. OnePlus is set to release their own ROM on February 12th called OxygenOS, little is known thus far about the ROM but they say it will be light, open and accessible, following the same design ideas that led to the creation of the One. Here’s what they had to say:
“We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what this ROM means to us and our fans. We realized that, like everything we do, our true goal is to make the product that we ourselves would want to use—to make great technology more accessible for everyone. With our ROM, that means software that is open, customizable, and free of bloat and unnecessary features.”
So yeah the post doesn’t give away much but I guess we will know more come February 12th. If you have any ideas or wishes of what this ROM could be then let us know below.
