How to get Orange swapables working on ICS handsets

So you have got the latest and greatest handset through Orange but those swapable’s  like Sky Sports and deezer you where promised don’t work no matter how many times you try. You have phoned Orange and been told the famous its a server problem wait 48 hours and everything will be ok but after being told that a handful of times you stumbled on my site. bet you wish you would have googled it first lol. Anyway so heres the fix.

Step 1 – Download Dolphin HD browser from market HERE

Step 2 – Open up Dolphin go to Menu > More > Settings > Dolphin Settings

Step 3 – Click on user agent and select custom user agent.

Step 4 – Paste this into the box that pops up Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.3; en-gb; GT-I9100 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1

Step 5 – click OK and your done you should now be able to access swappables.

This tricks the servers into thinking your using a gingerbread galaxy s2. One thing to note is off your using an HTC One X when your using Sky sports click the channel you want to watch it will flash. Then you want to exit dolphin and hit the recent apps button and the player will be open in there just click it and your stream will start. Lets hope Orange get there finger out asap.

Troubleshooting

Ok so some people are still having difficulty on the One X so heres a few things you can try when you are first choosing your swappables.

1. After you have done what it says above try and get a 3g signal. When you have a 3g signal click the text you received from orange to get you onto the choose your swappable page and you should be able to pick from the list

2, If you have managed to choose your swappable but you are unable to get back on to the page after exiting it always access it via 3G then you can switch to wifi.
