OUYA gaming console shipping March 28th

The highly anticipated OUYA Android gaming console is about to be shipped out to Kickstarter backers three months ahead of the Expected June retail launch.

Just incase you have been living in a bubble OUYA is an open-sourced Android Gaming console that first appeared on kickstarter. In a matter of two days it had raised more than $3 million to produce the machine. They initially hoped to raise only $950,000 through the crowd funding site, so things were looking good. The final amount raised was over $8 million. This console differs from others as the open-source nature allows any developer to make games for it without any licensing, retail or publishing fees.

We seen the first batch of developer consoles ship at the end of December last year, another date that made its deadline with time to spare. According to the guys over at OUYA they are telling backers to expect a wait of “a few weeks” before shipments arrive, but on a good note you will have a tracking number and an estimated delivery date to look forward to.

I guess all that’s left to do now is wait and see how extensive a game library OUYA can bring to the table. We all know that without game’s releasing on a regular basis a console can never survive.

Did you back OUYA on Kickstarter let us know how excited you are below.

BeginnersTech was an idea I had one Sunday when I was bored. It is now not only a website but a successful YouTube channel that takes me all over the world. Don’t ever let anyone discourage you. Chase those dreams.
