Pebble leak reveal colour screen and smaller buttons on new smartwatch

It looks like Pebble might have revealed on it’s servers what looks likely a new smartwatch with colour screen and smaller buttons that the company is expected to unveil tomorrow. With the countdown timer on its website telling us to expect an announcement at 10am EST Tuesday, 3pm UK, the leaked image shows off a watch with a colourful new display and a thinner design. While the timepiece appears to have a larger bezel, the buttons are smaller.

Inside the new Pebble Watch is supposedly a Cortex M4 processor and a 6-axis gyroscope. Reportedly, the new watch offers no improvement to the battery life of the current watch. Pebble is also expected to introduce a new OS tomorrow featuring a notifications timeline and improved animations. The team responsible for it includes developers who worked on webOS.

Unfortunately Pebble, doesn’t have a smartphone division generating funds it can spend on smartwatch development. As a result, Pebble needs to be proactive rather than reactive.

Pebble today started displaying a mysterious timer on its website. As expected, Pebble hasn’t yet revealed what’s coming. In less than 24 hours, we should know all of the details about Pebble’s updated hardware and software. Be sure to check in tomorrow to learn all about it.
