LinkedIn today announced that they have acquired Pulse, the maker of news reader apps for mobile devices at a cost of $90 million. Pulse took to it’s blog to announce the news and they say that the app will remain as is for now, but they will now offer a “LinkedIn Influencer” feed featuring the company’s hand picked contributers. Pulse news reader has over 30 million users all over the world and was created by Akshay Kothari and Ankit Gupta as a class project at Stanford University in 2010. It seems that LinkedIn’s goal is to make there website an everyday thing rather than only visiting when you need a job. Either way it is always nice to see the little guy’s getting a huge payout for their awesome idea. BeginnersTech are featured on the Pulse App just search BeginnersTech and add us. BeginnersTech was an idea I had one Sunday when I was bored. It is now not only a website but a successful YouTube channel that takes me all over the world. Don’t ever let anyone discourage you. Chase those dreams.
