Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has since 2011 been unveiled at IFA, which takes place every September. This year however the Korean giant may be looking to change things up and launch the Note 5 mid-August ahead of schedule. It may seem like an odd thing to do but it would mean that Samsung would gain a head start against Apple who release their latest iPhone’s at the same time.
The news arrives from The Wall Street Journal who according to sources would like to avoid a similar situation to last year where Apple released the iPhone 6 Plus just 6 days after the Note 4 dropped. Launching the Note 5 earlier will allow Samsung to start building up the hype in hope profits improve. Even although the S6 and S6 Edge were a huge success Samsung is fearing that the quarter wont be a successful as the same time last year so all hope lies with the Note 5.
Either way I’m #Hyped for the Note 5 but as a first time attendee at IFA this year I will be personally hoping for a normal launch cycle. Are you looking forward to the Note 5? Let me know below.
