Skype for Windows Phone 8 gets an update

Windows Phone users will be happy to know that Skype has received a fresh update that brings back People Hub integration. The update now available in the Windows Phone Store will enable People Hub Integration, a feature previously disabled, but only if you have the latest “Portico” update installed allowing users to trigger calls and instant messages straight from the contacts section of the OS.

Other improvements included in the update are the addition of HD video with rear and front camera support for higher end devices and the ability to use video calling in portrait or landscape. One disappointing point that we have noticed is there is still no direct support for Skype’s new Video Messaging feature but you can still receive those particular messages without the ability to send them. So if you haven’t grabbed the update yet hit the source link below.
