Sony cyberattack costs them dear to the tune of $30 million

SonyOfficeSony have been in the wars, literary, as we all know over the cyberattacks it had to deal with. So coming to its financial results, which was due today, it was forced to issue a forecast over the last financial quarter. All eye’s and ears were focused on the cost to Sony of the cyberattacks it had to deal with and the fact that its accounting system was attacked as well.

Sony announced that it’ll spend approximately $15 million this quarter to investigate and recover from the cyberattack. This does not include the $15 million it offered users last month for a separate security breach. The company has on the other hand raised its earning forecast for the year, with net profits of $756 million made from October to December of last year.
