Spotify launching new family plan with cheaper subscriptions for families

Music streaming service Spotify is about to launch a new “Family” plan that will see families offered cheaper subscriptions.

Those who subscribe to the service will be able to add up to four family members to their account. The additional members will get 50% off their subscription meaning they will only pay £4.99 per month. Each family member then has their own premium account and all the benefits that come with it so it seems like a great deal.

Spotify’s chief content officer Ken Parks said that “the family plan was one of the most asked for features from our audience.” It is nice to see companies paying attention to it’s users even although Spotify is bot the first company to offer such a plan.
