Tesco Giving You Free Unlimited Broadband for a Year in Time for Christmas – Really?

Well you all know the saying, Nothing is ever free, right?  Is this an exception to the rule, No! Although it’s still really only a marketing ploy by Tesco.

Tesco is offering a year’s free broadband, with no limits on data, if you sign-up for a Tesco Home phone line for £14.90 a month. This 14Mb line will be available in only limited numbers – it’s described as a “get it before it’s gone” offer. December 1st is the cut-off date.

Tesco is offering free evening and weekend calls as well as free calls to other Tesco Home phone customers to sweeten the deal. As of course, let’s not forget the Tesco Clubcard as you will get points with every phone bill. At least there is a UK-based call centre if you have any issues, you get a free router thrown in, and you can choose either a 12-month contract or a rolling 30-day deal.

The problem with this is you must have a BT phone line and, if you’re on a contract with BT then your snookered.
